BTCC final

I'm going to see the final of the BTCC at Silverstone on the 16th October. Today I received my DSLR camera so i should be able to take some half decent shots



Living in Northampton has its advantages, being around 20 miles from 2 circuits!

I went to that aswell:D

The only race track's I've ever been to are Rockingham and Silverstone, both are great

ive only been to silverstone had an amazing time tho:D

Snetterton is even better now the new track is fully operational. Oultan Park and Brands Hatch have still got to be my favourite tracks though. Prescott Hill Climb is a hell of a fun day though.

yeah there were loads, did you just go on the sunday? i was there all weekend.

My dad has done banger racing for about 20 years. he knows swampy quite well.

not sure if you know swampy or weather its just a fluke with the picture lol

without checking there at aldershot and ringwood. the vans were at ringwood.

Lol it is at ringwood i noticed the tag after typing my comment. Its not often that these lot travel down south to race which is why on first look i assumed it was buxton raceway.

But you got some great shots there pal . Nice work

yeah, they came down for the world van banger championship. not sure who won to be honest. but the bus won the dd.

They are some pretty awesome pictures mate, did you edit the one of the Honda at all?

I think if I went now i would get some better shots because I know how to use the manual focus on my camera. I still only have a 42mm lens though, which isn't great for getting close ups

nahh, there all pretty much how they came through the camera.
and cheers dude, pretty pleased with most the ones on there, ive got 60gig of photos on my mac, mostly of stock cars and the like so i might dump online if your interested.
and 42mm? is it a prime? and nearly all of those are on my 80-300 lens. got a couple of others but thats the one I use most. also do you use the manual settings or automatic settings like sport??

I was just using my automatic setting, my camera's an Olympus and the lens is the stock 14-42 mm one. I love it though, even though my sister managed to get oreo crumbs on the inner lens. I was not happy. Luckily it was easy enough to get off with a blow brush

i dont really know anything about olympus cameras. ive got a canon 550d. i never use the automatic settings because it always sets the ISO to as high as it can and then the shutter speed mega high, when you could get away with a lower ISO and slightly lower shutter speed, but your pictures still seem to have come out well
