50 Laps of the ring of fire.

Since Forza 4 has been announced, I have been thinking of one last challenge on Forza 3. After reading some posts on FM.net I decided on 50 laps of the Nordschleife.
The problem was that I had hardly raced around the Nordschleife and what car to use? As I live in Coventry in the UK, and less than ½ mile from the Jaguar design plant in Whitley it had to be the XKR RSR. Next was a series of 10 lappers just to get used to the track.
Race day had arrived and I took plenty of drink and started the marathon. It all went ok for the first 18 laps, but I then hit the barrier and damaged my front aero. After that I could not get into the grove and crashed a few more time and my lap times suffered. So at the half way point I had a 5 min rest and got my head together. From then on it went ok and I started to enjoy myself.
My aim was to finish with in 6h 15m and was disappointed not to finish in that time, but the main thing was that I completed the 50 laps.
So to finish up, it was very hard to concentrate for that long and not crash (which I did a few times). Would I do it again? Maybe on Forza 4 but not for a while.

Nicely done on completing the entire 50 laps Sam. I too have been wanting to give that one a go but might wait for Forza 4 to come out before I try.

It was not too bad John, i think its easier with the wheel. My fingers would hurt after a while with the controller.
