| Hello Guys,
Im extremely sorry for doing this and I also hate that it has too be done.
I will start by saying that I made a mistake and I am truly sorry !
It looks like I created an event with some cars that have vast differences when it comes to straight line speed and cornering ability. During the lap time testing there was no indication that all cars wouldn't be competitive. Even during testing with a small number of cars on the track the problem was not evident.
After some testing last night with only 6 cars on the track I saw the problem come to light, a problem that I didn't anticipate. While the cars that are slightly faster in a straight line tend to pull away in the straights, the smaller less powerful cars don't have the space needed to pass in the corners when they catch up because of a tendency to bunch up in the corners where the smaller better handling cars would have their advantages. Because of this the bigger more powerful cars maintain an advantage throughout the entire track.
In order to fix this problem I have omitted the extremes. The top speed cars and the cars with the lowest speeds have been removed. I had originally included these cars in the series on purpose to imitate real life Grand Am racing. Obviously the more cars that where on the track, the more evident the differences became.
So rather than leaving it to the last minute, I have come forward and I am taking full responsibility for this mistake and I am really sorry.
I have taken said cars out of the series and have replaced them with some more modest, equal cars that I had previously tested.
I think the racing will be a lot closer due to this change. Everybody who's Sign Up submission is now showing Red can now select a new car. Anybody who wishes to drive one of the new cars but has already signed up and your car is still on the list can make it known that they are willing to give their car away. However you cannot give your car away unless someone accepts to take it.
Sorry guys for any inconvenience or disappointment.
Thank everyone for Signing up and really hope I don't lose anyone due to these changes
Sincerely SLR Dalton 026

| It's ok Dalton. You do a lot for us on the forum and in game and you've always done an awesome job. This is no biggie and because you're so dedicated and are sure to always be fair you've already rectified the mistake. I'd say job well done pal. We still have cars to race that will be competitive and we are still moving forward. I'm happy to choose another car if I must and I'm quite sure everyone else feels the same. I appreciate your hard work and dedication, this is really not a big deal buddy. | |

| As Jack said, don't worry about it! You do a lot for the forum and you've rectified the mistake in plenty of time. | |

| I agree with your decision Dalton. However, I would suggest to re-start the sign ups all together. The few that are effected now have a small selection of cars to choose from, rather than the whole list. If you make a few people switch there cars you should give them the opportunity to re choose based on the entire new car list. This is just my opinion since i'm affected, (Spent hours painting and tuning the Aston), you guys probably wont agree.

| I'm not affected by this situation but I have to agree with CocoasaurusRex. He does have a valid point and I think it would be fair to everyone involved if we reset the list and have a go at it again, that way nobody is specifically affected by the change and the guys that had their cars taken away will have an equal opportunity to choose from the entire list instead of giving them a smaller secondary list to choose from. I have also invested hours of my time painting my car but am willing to re-select if necessary to keep things totally even and fair across the board...just my humble opinion.
P.s. I'd like to hear from everyone invovled. If you are signed up for this event then please state your opinions and thoughts. Thank you.

| Well I don't mind doing a repick or perhaps maybe we could try and make the current list bigger with new cars or allowing each car to be picked twice. In my opnion allowing each car to be picked twice is probably the better option since: - The people that picked their cars have maybe already started painting/tuning theirs. - The event starts next week I believe thus there isn't much time left to do new testing etc. | |

| The event doesn't start for another 2 weeks, I am going to let people re-select but it will be done in the original order of sign up.
I will do most of the changes today before the DTM start.

| Quick question on the car builds: I know that you are free to change the wheels but what about non Forza Motorsport body kits. On the specs all they effect is weight adding around 2 lbs or so. | |
