24 Hours of LeMans

Anyone else been enjoying the show today? Crazy crash eh? I've managed to catch the race, even hop on Forza for the LeMans themed Rivals and public lobbies. 15 hours to go

Great stuff. I thought Toyota was great before Nakajima predictably ruined everything, and that short battle between Lapierre and Treluyer for the lead was absolutely amazing; I've never seen a pass on the grass like that before, and I though Treluyer's move at Arnage was great as well. Loved Lapierre's chop on the Audi right before the Porsche curves, as well. Expect Toyota to be ready next year for a good fight.

On another note, good that Davidson is okay after that huge crash. These incidents from the last two years are making it very clear that amateur drivers have absolutely no place at Le Mans, and if they keep allowing people of this quality who don't have the sense to use their mirrors, someone is going to be killed.

Overall, Audi has this, but I'd love to see Rebellion get on the podium with this high rate of attrition. Good job by Toyota while it lasted, but they need to stop putting Japanese drivers in the cars simply because of nationalism, unless they want to throw Kamui Kobayashi or Ukyo Katayama in the car. Maybe the #2 Audi will start catching the leader and we'll see a good race. Le Mans is still great, as always.

On another note, sad news about the Targa Florio today. A codriver was unfortunately killed when the guardrail penetrated the car in the crash (like Kubica's).

Well who would have predicted an Audi 1, 2, 3, 4 overall? In GT the AF Corse Ferrari 458 took home top honors, followed by the Luxury racing 458, and the Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage.
